| Overview | The MILLIPLEX® MAP Human Circadian/Stress Magnetic Bead Panel is to be used for the simultaneous quantification of Cortisol and Melatonin. This is a configurable assay, and either or both analytes can be selected. This kit may be used for the analysis of human serum, plasma, tissue/cell lysate, culture supernatant samples, or cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).
Serum or plasma samples should be extracted using either the acetonitrile precipitation technique or the Waters 96-well HLB extraction plate. Please refer to the protocol for more information on both methods. The necessary components to perform the extractions are not included with this kit. |

| Application Notes | EMD millipore’s MILLIPLEX® MAP Human Circadian/Stress Magnetic Bead Panel is a 2-plex kit to be used for the simultaneous quantification of cortisol and/or melatonin in serum, plasma, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), tissue/cell lysate, and culture supernatant samples.
• This is a competitive assay. An overnight (16-18 hours) incubation at 2-8°C is recommended.
• This assay requires 50 μL extracted serum or plasma sample per well or 50 μL neat CSF or culture supernatant per well.
• Sample extraction protocols are required for serum/plasma samples. Other sample types (e.g. CSF, culture supernatant, saliva, etc.) do not require sample extraction.
• A 1:4 sample dilution is recommended for extracted serum/plasma samples. |
